The public is invited to a harvest festival celebration at Knowle West Media Centre tomorrow.

Delicious home-grown treats will be available to try and visitors can bake potatoes in KWMC's hand-made clay oven and squeeze apple juice in an old-fashioned press.

There will also be the opportunity to learn new recipes and skills, and browse stalls of produce grown by local people.

There will be a soup-making demonstration and local gardener and entrepreneur Mil Lusk will be digging up the potatoes planted during the summer food festival.

KWMC also hopes to stimulate debate about sustainability, food production and climate change by hosting a 'diary room' housed within an interactive media pod.

Inspired by the C Words project, run by artist-activist group Platform and part of the 100 Days exhibition at the Arnolfini, the diary pod will pose C Words' five 'questions for the next 25 years'. Local people can enter the pod and record their hopes, predictions and responses in a relaxed and informal environment.
