Second game victory clinches it for Bitton
BITTON chalked up a 4-1 aggregate Division A victory over Longwell Green thanks to a convincing win in the second match.
The first game ended 1-0 to Bitton, with George Jones netting the only goal.
In the second encounter, Ollie Shopland fired Bitton ahead in the first minute. Substitute Josh Garnett doubled their advantage and Rob Smyth netted the third before Adam Brooks scored Longwell Green's consolation from long range.
Brislington A defeated Fry Colts 3-1 in another top-flight game, winning both matches by a single goal.
In the first game, Brislington were fortunate to take the lead through Matthew Maggs but held on to win 1-0. Frank Feltham settled early nerves when he headed Brislington in front in game two and Dean Howlett doubled the lead with a long-range effort. Isaac Lee reduced the deficit to 2-1, but the home side held on to win again.
Ashton Boys and Shire Colts battled out a thrilling two games, with Ashton edging the match 5-4 on aggregate.
Goals by Michael Annett, Callum Gundry-White and Oliver Estcourt earned Shire a 3-3 draw in game one. James Kautz pulled Shire level at 1-1, only for Ashton to grab a late winner.
Keynsham Town fell to their third Division B defeat of the season as they lost 5-3 to Downend Boys.
A double from Jordan Hooper earned them a 2-2 draw in the first game, while a brilliant individual goal from Joel Milhofer could not prevent a 3-1 defeat in game two.
In Division C, Saltford Stars rediscovered their winning form with an 11-2 win over Ashton Boys B.
Jack Muse was the star of the show in the first game, which they won 10-1, netting five times. Jon Satterley scored twice, with Ben Ferris- Pulsford, Theo Cutmore and Luke Greenfield also on target. Nick Burchill replied for Ashton.
The second game was much closer and ended 1-1, with Jack Palmer on the scoresheet for Saltford and Jay Fowler equalising.
Highridge United claimed two narrow wins over Coalpit Heath to triumph 4-2 on aggregate.
Cameron Williams netted the only goal of the first game, while Kyle Matthews (2) and Lucas Blackmore were on target in the second game.
