Kieswetter leads the Somerset fightback
Somerset ran into Matthew Hoggard with a point to prove on the second day of the LV County Championship match with Yorkshire at Headingley.
The former England pace bowler was making his first county appearance since early May, having been overlooked for his club's one-day games, and wasted no time giving a reminder of his talent.

After Somerset had taken the last two Yorkshire first innings wickets quickly to bowl them out for 277, Hoggard removed Marcus Trescothick and Justin Langer for ducks in a sensational opening over of the visitors' reply.
That was on the way to figures of 5-56 as Somerset were bowled out for a disappointing 230, Craig Kieswetter (83) and Alfonso Thomas (64) sparing their blushes after they had been reduced to 30-4.
Hoggard took all four of those early wickets in his opening spell, also removing James Hildreth for 20 and Zander de Bruyn first ball with some inspired seam bowling.
Somerset coach Andy Hurry was certainly impressed. "Hoggard performed like a player with something to prove. He swung the ball at pace and put us in a potentially embarrassing position," he said.
"But I think from then on we showed Yorkshire and the rest of the Championship that there is plenty of character in our side.
"Craig and Alfonso played extremely well, but they were also very well supported by first Arul Suppiah and then David Stiff.
"To end up only 47 behind after losing our first two wickets for no runs was a good effort and we are still very much in the game."
That was particularly the case when Charl Willoughby had the dangerous Jacques Rudolph caught by Peter Trego at the end of the day to leave Yorkshire 26-1 in their second innings, 73 runs ahead.
But Hurry added: "It won't be easy batting last on this pitch so we need to restrict them to a 250-lead maximum if we can."
After resuming on 269-8, Yorkshire lost David Wainwright in the day's third over when he was well caught high to his left by Trescothick at second slip off Thomas.
The innings ended when Hoggard was caught behind off the outstanding Willoughby, who finished with 3-30 off 23.3 overs. Thomas took 3-48 from 20.
But any joy Somerset felt at polishing things off so quickly evaporated as Trescothick drove loosely at Hoggard and Langer also edged to wicketkeeper Gerard Brophy off a good delivery.
Hoggard then persuaded Hildreth to edge to Anthony McGrath at third slip after hitting five fours and followed up by pinning de Bruyn lbw.
Kieswetter counter attacked in typical style, scoring his runs off 131 balls, with 11 fours.
And after Suppiah fell for a watchful 20 and Trego went cheaply on his 28th birthday, Thomas played with great application to finish unbeaten, having faced 139 deliveries and hit three fours and a six.
Stiff played his part against his former club with a valuable 28, at least ensuring Somerset of a solitary batting bonus point.
