Keynsham snooker ace Judd Trump suffered disappointment yesterday when he failed to qualify for this season's Glasgow Grand Prix.

The world No 30 slipped to a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Scottish cueman Marcus Campbell.

Trump needed to win just one match to qualify for the second ranking tournament of the season, which runs at the Kelvin Hall from October 3-11.

Trump said: "I never really got going. I made too many mistakes and, when you do that, you put yourself under more pressure.

"I was really looking forward to going back to Glasgow. I played really well there last season.

"But it's a long season and I'll have to bounce back from this defeat. It is very disappointing though."
