Kendleshire golfer Lloyd set for trip to Sawgrass
Chris Lloyd will become the envy of the golfing world when he tees off at the famous TPC Players Club Stadium course at Sawgrass, Florida, next week.
The 17-year-old Kendleshire star cannot wait to tackle the best known par-three in the world, the 17th island hole where shots into the water have wrecked so many cards in the annual Players Championship, known as the fifth major.

"I just want to keep my ball dry three times," he said.
Lloyd has been chosen as one of two England boys to take part in the Junior Players Championship. The other is his pal and England colleague Max Smith (Newbury). The pair won the West of England fourball title at the Kendleshire this year.
The pair are among 25 invited players from all over the world who will join the leading 50 American juniors in the 12-18 age group to compete in the 54-hole championship.
Long Ashton's Adam Carson received a similar invitation to play in another American Junior Golf Association Championship in North Carolina in June.
Lloyd, who is playing alongside Carson for GB & Ireland in the Jacques Eglise Trophy at Ganton this week, said: "This is a fabulous golf course that everyone talks about.
"This is another great opportunity for me to make a mark and it would be brilliant to finish in the top 10 against so many top class players from all over the world.
"Playing at Ganton, and now being picked for this one, makes a marvellous climax to what has been a wonderful season for me."
