Keeper Callum is the shoot-out hero for Broadwalk
Hanham Minor League cup reports: Callum Tyler saved four out of five penalties as Broadwalk snatched a dramatic 2-1 shoot-out victory against Warmley Rangers B in the Under-11 C & D Cup.
The match finished 3-3 after extra-time, with Connor Griffin, Kevin Pearce (penalty) and Jack Mundy netting for Broadwalk and Keegan Wright hitting a hat-trick for Rangers, his last goal coming 30 seconds from the end.
Phil Twinn's thunderous free-kick two minutes from time earned Division D leaders Thornbury Falcons a 1-0 victory over Division C pacesetters Oldland Abbotonians.
Lively performances by Harry Shipp, Dan Worsley and Jordan Saxton helped Falcons on their way, while Kieron Bancroft excelled in midfield and Asher Budd made his presence felt on the wings.
The defensive quartet of Ewan Sinclair, Jake Barton, Sam Hussey and Harry Pearce shut the door on every Oldland attack as keeper Dan Watkins kept another clean sheet.
Bromley Heath came from behind to secure a semi-final place by beating Ashton Boys C 4-1 thanks to Harry Saunders (2), Jamie Dickinson and an own goal.
Dan Hall punished Heath for a miscued clearance by putting Ashton ahead but, with the hard-working Kyle Morrison driving them on, Heath soon found their feet to progress comfortably enough.
Also through are Whitchurch, Josh King's late goal sealing a 2-1 victory over Longwell Green.
Ryan Jacobs ran through to open scoring for Whitchurch but Longwell keeper Tom Moble made a series of fine saves to deny them further goals and his heroics paid off when team-mate Ben Bryant equalised before the break.
The tie looked like it was heading for penalties when King beat the Longwell defence to score the winner with only two minutes remaining.
Henry Burns' volleyed goal was not enough to prevent Nicholas Wanderers going down 3-1 against Bitton after extra-time in the A & B Cup.
The Wanderers defence of Josh Cummins, Leon Smith and James Nutland held strong for the bulk of the contest, while midfielders Del Cunningham, William Brant and Milo Black were always a threat.
The second half saw some terrific saves by Wanderers' Craig Griffin to keep it at 1-1 at the end of normal time before Bitton pulled away.
Seli Prenci had struck first for the winners early in the game from Jak Griffiths' deflected shot, while extra-time efforts by Jordan Cribb, courtesy of a good Jack Ball cross, and Luke Saward confirmed Bitton's place in the next round.
Jack Madge made some superb saves from the spot as AEK Boco Under-11s reached the semi-finals with a 3-1 shoot-out success over Bristol City JSC following a 0-0 draw.
Strong defending by Keaton Lacey and Tom Norley kept City at bay, while Boco striker Jack Robson hit the bar late on in normal time after a precision pass by Lacey.
The penalty shoot-out was just as dramatic with Madge producing terrific stops for Boco, while watching on in delight as Tyler Atkins, Bradley Wheadon and Josh Kellet-Butt all converted from the spot.
