Karaoke crowd discover a winning tune
Midweek rain failed to put colour into the match stretch and weights tumbled in the third round of the Bristol Commercial House League, fished on the River Avon from Rotork to Newbridge.
Karaoke Nites topped the scoresheet with a 26-point performance and moved from fourth to second place behind A Division leaders Avon Aquatics, who crashed to a disappointing fifth place.
In B Division, Town & Country moved into pole position ahead of Crown Road Electrical after putting in a superb 22.5pt effort.
BTM Services remain in third place by 1.5pts from Cooper Avon Tyres, while SWEB stay planted firmly on the bottom with just 4.5 points
First in the individuals was Gary Cross, of Crown Road Electrical, who fished a groundbait feeder with worm and caster at half way across from peg seven in the little field and weighed in a four-bream catch totalling 20-3-0.
Karaoke Nites rod Leon Hubbard came second at peg 10, where chopped worm poled down the edge tempted 4-0-0 of perch. A groundbait feeder and worm cast straight down the middle added an extra 5-10-0 of bream.
