Kalum's hat-trick boosts Highridge
Bristol Under-18 Combination: Kalum Cater completed an excellent hat-trick as Highridge United crushed Made For Ever Youth 7-1 in a Division I encounter.
They took a 1-0 half-time lead when a great ball from James Stadden split the Made for Ever defence and set up Sam Packer to fire home.
Highridge keeper Luke Thomas made two great saves to preserve their advantage, but Made For Ever finally equalised when some neat footwork from Ben Lear on the edge of box created the space for him to shoot into the bottom corner of the net.
Within five minutes, however, Highridge were back in front through Ben Morgan before Daniel Smith's presence at a corner forced an own goal to extend the advantage to 3-1.
There was no way back for Made For Ever after that and Cater's three goals and James Stadden's header put the game out of sight.
Oldland increased their lead at the top of the table to six points thanks to a 3-1 win over Full Circle .
Zak Zabek, debutant Lewis Morgan and Joe Chandler were all on target after Keroy McBeam had put Circle ahead with a well-struck shot.
Tom Loud turned in a dymanic midfield display for St Vallier as they came from behind to beat Hanham Athletic 4-2 in Division A.
Two brilliant Kyle Buffery goals, plus efforts from Jerb Hughes – his 17th of the season – and Mitch Packer, settled the outcome.
Hanham led 2-1 at half-time thanks to goals from Max Munkley and Dan Roberts but Saints, led by the energetic Loud, took over after the break.
Joe Durcan, Dan Turrell and Kane Power worked hard in the Saints defence to cope with a lively Hanham attack, while their team were grateful for a superb display by goalkeeper Zac Smart.
New signing David Brown scored twice as Stoke Lane defeated Sartan United 5-3. Joe Love, from the penalty spot, Aaron Mogg and Ryan Lansdown grabbed the other goals.
Olveston continued their recent run of good form in the Gloucestershire Division with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Matson thanks to two second-half goals from Chris Howard.
Jack Neale, Reece Jones, Phil Williams and Tom Balhage were outstanding for Olveston, but Matson pulled a goal back with 10 minutes left to set up a frantic finish and the visitors were forced to dig deep to hold on.
