Bristolian Justin Lee Collins is soon to be helping out with Bristol's 2018 World Cup bid.

The TV personality, who is a fervent Bristol City supporter, has been contacted by the club and confirmed yesterday he will lend his name to the city's cause.

Quizzed on Heart FM's breakfast show by Bush, Troy and Paulina about the prospect of World Cup football coming to the West Country Justin said: "I'm a Bristol City fan and that would be wonderful, and in fact in the last week I've had a couple of calls from Jon Lansdown, you know the chairman's son, asking me to get involved and I am happy to do so, so I'm going to get involved, it would be wonderful for Bristol, wonderful."

The city stands a good chance of inclusion as a host venue in England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup. To register your support go to England2018bid.com.
