Jones back to boost Swindon in relegation fight
Wales international Owain Tudur Jones will return to the Swindon Town squad to give the team a huge lift ahead of Saturday's relegation showdown against Crewe Alexandra at the County Ground.
The powerful midfielder, who has been a big hit since joining the Wiltshire club on loan from Championship side Swansea City, missed last week's disappointing defeat at Yeovil Town as he was on international duty.
With that loss having fanned the fears of being dragged back down into the bottom four after three successive wins, Town know that they vitally need three points against fellow strugglers Crewe – who are just one point behind Town on the edge of the drop zone – to calm nerves for the run-in.
"The one bonus we will have for Saturday's game is the return of Owain Tudur Jones," said Wilson.
"Owain went away with the Wales squad for their fixtures against Finland and Germany but was not involved.
"Hopefully he will come back with his batteries fully charged."
Wilson has done his utmost to deflect the pressures and anxiety of being in a relegation struggle away from his players and sought to play down the win-at-all-costs mentality ahead of tomorrow's match.
"The players here have experience but the one thing we cannot have is panic," warned Wilson.
"We need to keep our minds clear and concentrate on the task in hand. Where we finish at the end of the season will not be determined by this weekend."
On-loan Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu has a good chance of returning to the side but defender Sean Morrison is still doubtful.
