Jeremy Clarkson "favourite to succeed George Ferguson" as Bristol Mayor
TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson would be Bristol residents' favourite choice to succeed George Ferguson as mayor, according to a new survey.
According to the lighthearted survey - released by the makers of computer game SimCity - Bristol citizens fancy Jeremy Clarkson as the man for the job with Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, David Beckham, Bradley Wiggins and even One Direction member Harry Styles snapping at his heels.

“God what utter drivel. Why is this even being reported - has The Post done a deal with the creators of Sim City?
Most of it doesn't even make any sense.
Mind you, I did have a giggle at: '70 per cent of Bristol's residents asked would welcome a congestion charge'.
Yes, of course we would. No, really.”

“@Big Greg - Nah he's an Isle of Man resident. Manx? Eitherway he's getting paid a lot and contributing vilch.
Clarkson the petrolhead king of Bristol - city of congestion. No more ridiculous than Ferguson's mandate to power.”

“Besides which he ridiculed Dave Prowe's Bristol accent (obviously having a much more acceptable one coming from Doncaster?) -Ironic as they both appear to have UKIP style political outlooks...”

“Clarkson and the hamster or whatever his name is are two of the unfunniest people on TV. James May should ditch the pair of them.”
