Jeremy Clarkson "favourite to succeed George Ferguson" as Bristol Mayor
TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson would be Bristol residents' favourite choice to succeed George Ferguson as mayor, according to a new survey.
According to the lighthearted survey - released by the makers of computer game SimCity - Bristol citizens fancy Jeremy Clarkson as the man for the job with Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, David Beckham, Bradley Wiggins and even One Direction member Harry Styles snapping at his heels.
The survey asked how residents of Bristol would take control of their city.
In light of recent retail closures 85 per cent of Bristol’s residents asked felt the lack of independent shops on their high street was the biggest problem in their city and wanted to focus on regenerating their high street.
