Jason bags five for Totterdown

JASON Hodgson was the top scorer in the first round of the GFA Intermediate Cup with five goals for Totterdown Reserves in the 7-1 home drubbing of Green Park Rangers.

Dave Bull and Mike Withey also netted for Totterdown.

Portland OB failed to respond to a double from Jamie Rees, which included a penalty, for Saints OB Reserves, while Torpedo Reserves won 5-4 in a spot kick shootout with Sporting Greyhound Reserves following a 0-0 draw.

The Rees family had good cause to celebrate after goals from Steve (2) and his brother Matt clinched a 3-1 draw home victory for Sneyd Park Reserves at home to Filton Reserves, while Warren Edgell's brace gave Lebeq Reserves a 2-1 success away to Tebby, for whom Aaron Tovey hit back.

Tom Pace and George Pascoe netted for Nicholas Wanderers A in a 3-2 defeat to Frampton Reserves, for whom Ollie Wood, Liam Downer and Jake Yeo scored.

Matt Lansdown, Ben Roberts and Ben Neary found the net in Olveston's 3-1 win against Lawrence Rovers Reserves.

Shaun Martin and Andy Forshaw both struck twice for Greyfriars, whose other goal in a 5-2 home victory against Roman Glass St George B came from Dave White. Stewart Williams and Andy Jeaves replied for the visitors.

Shaun White's hat-trick was the inspiration of a 5-2 win for Bendix at home to Glenside OB Reserves with Matt Burridge and Brad Robbins also on the mark. Goals from Richard Escort (2), his brother Luke and Mark Cornish gave Lion a 4-2 success against Hambrook Reserves, for whom Andy Dawes bagged a brace in reply.
