Against one girl he has pleaded not guilty to; two indecent assaults of a child aged under seven, two indecencies with a child aged under seven, two sexual assaults of a child aged under 13, two of causing or inciting a child aged under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
Against another girl he has pleaded not guilty to; two indecent assaults of a child aged under seven, two sexual assaults of a child aged under 13.
Anna Vigars, prosecuting at Bristol Crown Court, told a jury the child reported that Dyer also exposed himself to her and rubbed cream into her chest.
Mrs Vigars told the jury: "She was shocked and concerned into silence.
"He traded on her silence.
"He carried on doing what he was doing to her."
The jury was told Dyer also rubbed himself up against another girl.
Mrs Vigars said: "It was not because he needed to. It was not because the space was a small one, but because by rubbing his body against her he was again achieving a sexual gratification from that contact.
"If she looked at him he would apologise. It was something the Crown says was a deliberate act on the part of this man."
The first complainant recounted an occasion to police when Dyer exposed himself to her, and motioned her to touch his private parts.
The youngster said: "I just left. I felt really uncomfortable.
"He used to touch and rub my legs and he used to touch me on the upper chest area."
The girl described how her mum "kept asking, and asking and asking" if something had happened, and invited the child to place a Bagpuss doll on her pillow if something had.
She said: "Five minutes after I told her, she told my dad."
The case continues.
