The service and maintenance specialist Integral has won a prestigious contract at Bristol's new £500-million shopping centre Cabot Circus.

Bristol-based Integral has won the contract to provide round-the-clock service at the Cabot Circus centre – which opened last autumn.

Integral is the country's fastest growing independent property maintenance company and currently has a five-strong team at the centre.

The extended three-year contract will see Integral provide full-time mechanical and electrical maintenance, running repairs and a 24-hour emergency reactive service.

Neil Todd, Integral's operations manager for the South West, said: "We have been on-site since June, when the development still resembled a building site, to enable us to fully understand the operation and layout of the services. At the moment, we have got two electricians, two fabric technicians and one mechanical engineer on site, with another fabric engineer due to work there full time in the next few weeks."

He said: "Cabot Circus is a high- profile development so everything needs to be right, from door handles and light fittings working properly to flooring and plasterwork being in good condition, we have to make sure it is all in tip-top shape and running smoothly."

Winning the Cabot Circus contract caps a great few months for Integral which, in its recent annual report, revealed it had had another record year of growth with turnover increasing by £15 million to £147m with profit rising 31 per cent to £7.2m.

Bryan Glastonbury, Integral's managing director, said: "The centre was nearly 10 years in the making and clearly many companies were in the running to win this contract.

"With that in mind, I am delighted the centre management team has looked at our track record, which has seen our client retention levels rise to a market-leading 85 per cent, and selected us to provide their building maintenance."
