IMPERIAL are hoping a weekend away on tour in Chesterfield will set them up perfectly for their crunch final game of the season, at home to Gordano on May 5.

Lee Foster's side will leapfrog Winscombe and Nailsea & Backwell if they secure a victory... and so escape relegation from Somerset Premier.

The flanker said: "The important thing is that it's in our hands.

"If we turn up and put in a performance then we'll be fine. We'll have no one to blame but ourselves if we go down.

"I said at the very start of the season that it would go right down to the wire and here we are."

Imperial failed to record a single away win this season. Foster added: "I'm glad it's a home game. We've obviously done better on our own ground and are now hoping to make the most of this last chance."
