Ice threat as rain turns to snow
A severe weather warning of snow for the next 24 hours has been extended south to cover Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset.
The Met Office, which has amended its yellow warning to include these areas, says rain will gradually turn to sleet and snow as it spreads eastwards during today.

Overnight, there is a risk of snow moving westwards across the region with a few centimetres in places, particularly over higher ground.
The Met Office says: "For the Monday morning rush hour, ice is likely to become a hazard and the public should be aware of possible disruption to transport."
