More than 600 people paid £25 to see Banksy's free summer exhibition at Bristol Museum last night.

The private view was arranged by Young Bristol, a charity which runs youth clubs and other services for teenagers in the greater Bristol area.

People had the chance to pay £25 a ticket, or £45 for two people, to avoid the long queues for the exhibition.

The private view raised more than £14,000 which will be divided between Young Bristol and the City Museum.

Almost 250,000 people have so far viewed the exhibition since it opened in June but the queues show no sign of getting shorter.

The Banksy exhibition, which is due to finish at the end of the month, is normally open daily from 10am to 5pm, with the last entry at 4pm. It will be open late on August 12, 19, and 26, and runs until August 31.
