Hull: Shock defeat is a wake-up call for Bristol Rugby
Paul Hull hopes Bristol Rugby's shock defeat at Moseley can act as a wake-up call ahead of the Championship play-offs, which kick off on Friday.
Bristol's 13-match winning run was ended by a Moseley team who displayed more fight and desire at Billesley Common on Saturday – but Hull has backed his players to bounce back instantly.

Bristol scored four tries before going down 30-25 to the side who finished ninth in the Championship table and must now negotiate their way to safety via the relegation play-offs.
But head coach Hull, who felt some of his players had their minds on Friday's home play-off clash with Cornish Pirates, still has complete faith in his table-topping squad as they enter the make-or-break stage of their season.
"It was very disappointing," said Hull. "It looked like there were players out there who were probably looking forward to the play-offs rather than doing their jobs on the pitch, which was unfortunate.
"A couple of players hadn't played for a couple of weeks – but that's no excuse, because we've had a good season and they should be match-hardened now and raring to go.
"I'm disappointed with that aspect. I can't speak for the players, but if there was one eye on the play-offs, we got our wake-up call here.
"Hopefully we can turn things round – and it's not the end of the world. We're not a bad team overnight – but it's a simple game. You have to go forward and win collisions – and we weren't doing that."
Two tries from Tom Arscott and further scores from Dan Norton and Luke Eves looked to have secured victory for Bristol on Saturday, before two late Tristan Roberts penalties handed Hull's men their first league defeat since October.
They now face a six-match pool campaign in the play-offs, where they will meet Pirates, Bedford and Plymouth Albion, with the top two qualifying for the one-legged semi-finals. And Hull said: "We haven't tried to worry too much about the structure of the play-offs.
"We're still on track, even if we're disappointed with this game. Next week is another week and that's the beauty of rugby. If we can get back on track and keep winning, the play-offs will look after themselves. It was a blip, let's be honest – and the season isn't won or lost on one blip.
"We've had a good run and good runs obviously have to come to an end – but we'll start another run, hopefully, next week. I'm disappointed but I have full confidence in the squad to bounce back next week. It is a minor blip but I have confidence in the whole squad and we'll work hard all week leading up to the play-offs."
