ST Brendan's Under-13s were forced to battle hard for their 33-31 away win against Cotham Park.

Saints got off to the best possible start, and raced two tries clear before Park rallied and fought their way back into contention. But the Coombe Dingle-based side had just enough in the tank to seal the win, thanks to a hat-trick of tries from Iwan Hughes, and a try apiece for Matt Cox and Ollie Rigg, while Joey Gomples slotted four conversions.

Despite a spirited and committed display in which Zac Smith excelled, Frampton Cotterell Under-13s, went down 19-0 against a powerful Old Bristolians side in the second pool round of the Gloucestershire Cup. Meanwhile, Matthew Bullman and Alex Ashton made impressive debuts for Old B's Under-12s in their three-way fixture with Bradford-on-Avon and Bath Youth. Dan Smart, Ned Smith, Alex Enderby and Thomas Joseland all scored tries for the Failand-based club.

Clevedon Under-15s claimed the local bragging rights over coastal neighbours Weston, following their 43-27 win at Colridge Vale. Tries by Dan Jones, Guy Prideaux, Luke Gardiner and Ben Williams, and four Kieran Hill conversions, gave the Seasiders victory.

Clifton Under-16s ran in six tries to beat Frampton Cotterell 38-0 in the Gloucestershire Cup. The Henbury-based outfit adopted a ball in hand approach and it paid off with tries from centre's Gregor Hamilton and Jack Greenwood, wing Carew Rowley and lock Ed Tait. Fly-half Ian Gardiner added four conversions. Clifton Under-18s battled to a 31-17 win at Thornbury Broncos, thanks to tries by Thomas Boot, Toby Lloyd, Ollie Bowden, Johnnie Graham and Sam Makepeace.

Clifton Under-9s duo Mackenzie Vaughan and Sam Sproull, scored tries in their victory over Thornbury.

Try-scoring Lewis Chant picked up the man-of-the-match award following Dings Under-10s round-robin contest against Keynsham and Melksham. Crusaders' other tries came from Mike Thatcher, Archie Stapleton, Jake Baker, Taylor Williams and Callum Gasson.

Avonmouth Under-10s cruised to victory over Stockwood Sharks with Lewis Mills, Reece Oliver, Tom Hooper, Solomon Taufa, Lewis Bird, Jacob Nolan Dixon and Ethan Feltham all crossing for tries.

St Bernadette's picked up their maiden victory at Under-8s level, following a thrilling 35-30 win over Bristol Saracens. Ty Kovacs-Brake, Zach Driscoll-Pike, Bradley Kitchen, Gabriel Fitzgibbon and Seth Marshall (2) all crossed the whitewash for Saints.

It was end-to-end stuff between Southmead Under-8s and their Kingswood counterparts, with the see-saw tussle finishing 50-50. Tom Jones (4), Toby Popple (2), Finlay Caswell (2), Jacob Sposito and Tommy Hicks-Davey, scored five-pointers for the 'Mead'
