Horse charity says 'thank you' to its volunteers
HORSE rescue charity HorseWorld thanked its volunteers by giving them a behind the scenes tour.
Fifty hard-working volunteers climbed aboard a tractor for a tour of HorseWorld's welfare yard – an area which is normally out-of- bounds for members of the public.
They got to see horses in their natural environment at the yard at Keynes Farm as part of the "thank you" event on Saturday.
HorseWorld's volunteer co-ordinator Frances Mallender said: "HorseWorld wouldn't be able to perform all the animal welfare work it does without the vital input of our fantastic volunteers, so it's important we say thank you to them.

"We're always on the lookout for more volunteers. Many of our voluntary roles require no specialist skills or experience: a friendly and co-operative manner are often all that's required.
"Volunteers perform a range of vital tasks for our charity, and there are lots of roles to choose from.
"They range from looking after the horses, to helping in our busy visitor centre cafe; from stuffing envelopes with regular mailings to helping on our ground-breaking educational courses."
