The popular CRF 250R is getting a complete overhaul this year. Prices are yet to be announced, although the first of the revamped bikes will go on sale in September.

Motorcycle News reported that the CRF250R, pictured above, gains the fuel injection system enjoyed by its bigger brother the CRF450R with a new ignition and exhaust system to match.

The system varies fuel flow and ignition timing automatically for different conditions. Gear ratios are revised to suit the overhauled engine, and a larger radiator keeps temperature in check. More durable pistons and valves made from a tougher material developed in MotoGP are also fitted.
