WE love this Loui Loui wallpaper in Purple Beech from House Couturier. Loui Loui wallpapers are hand-painted on canvas before being digitally printed to produce vivid, 3-D images. At a cost of £143 per roll – plus VAT – you might not want to use it in the children's bedrooms, though. Visit www.housecouturier.eu or call 0207 371 9255.

INSPIRED by the organic elements of nature, Blendworth has launched Serenella, a fresh new collection of fabrics combining tree and leaf patterns to create the feel of an indoor/outdoor living space.

The range includes Robinia, an eye-catching landscape design of tree silhouettes available across four colourways, highlighted with metallic detailing, in cotton/linen. Other fabrics in the collection are Hazel, Berberis and Palm.

All designed around foliage, Palm is an elegant feathery leaf design available in six colours, while Hazel and Berberis offer a more classic leaf design in smokey browns and warm paprikas for a real autumnal feel.

All cost £23 per metre; for stockists visit www.blendworth.co.uk or call 02392 594911.

PASSIONATE about interiors but not sure how to go about transforming your home? Or perhaps you're thinking of training as an interior designer yourself?

Either way, you could sign up for one of the new courses being launched in Somerset this month by international design, colour and trend consultant Belinda Ollis-Blackwell.

Belinda, who has worked with many professional designers as well as designing residential interiors herself, will be running the courses from her Shepton Mallet home. A day course costs £120 (including lunch) and explores the process of designing a room, from how to choose your colours to how to change the ambiance of a room.

For professional designers, Belinda also offers a two-hour evening course predicting trends, for £85.
