Hogan's challenge to inquest verdict due
John Hogan will find out tomorrow whether judges will overturn a coroner's decision about the death of his six-year-old son.
Avon Coroner Paul Forrest found that Hogan had "unlawfully killed" Liam after pushing him off a hotel balcony while on holiday in Crete.

But Hogan applied to the High Court to quash the verdict on the grounds that he was "not in control of his actions" because he was insane at the time of the incident in August 2006.
Hogan, of Bradley Stoke, Liam and his two-year-old sister Mia all plunged from the fourth-floor balcony after the former tiler had a row with his then wife, Natasha.
Liam died of his injuries at Herikalion Hospital, but Mia survived the 50ft fall.
Mr Forrest, who is currently suspended over an unrelated issue, returned the verdict at an inquest in March last year but in November two judges ruled that Hogan's case raised "serious points that are plainly arguable" and gave him permission to seek a judicial review.
If the original decision is quashed Hogan's lawyers could seek either a narrative verdict – setting out what happened – or an open verdict, although the judges could rule that the original verdict was the right one.
