Highridge United had to dig deep before overcoming Deerswood 7-2 in their lively Under-10 Division B tussle.

They took the lead with a crisp Josh Knight finish following a fine pass from Jack Godfrey, and with Harry Hemmings, Callum O'Shea and Cameron Williams all performing brightly, it was left to Knight to score his and Highridge's second during a goalmouth scramble.

Deerswood tried hard to break Highridge down in the second half but came up against brick walls in the shape of excellent keeper Kierra Greenslade, the tenacious Oliver Greenslade and substitute Sid Dorrington.

The second match was a little more one-sided as a hat-trick from Kyle Matthews and further goals by substitute Lucas Blackmore and Ben Priddis saw Highridge to a 5-2 victory.

Owen Pratt made some fine saves to help keep Deerswood at bay.

Warmley Rangers completed a league double over Keynsham Town thanks to a last-minute goal in the second game. But their opponents were left wondering how their first-game dominance didn't put them out of sight.

The Rangers keeper saved a number of goalbound attempts as Town battled back strongly from conceding a scrappy early goal, and it was only midway through the second half, when Corey Clifton's well-placed effort finished off a superb passing move, that Keynsham found a way through.

Defender Josh Black's outstanding display won him man-of-the-match for a Keynsham team who produced a fine team display in the 1-1 opener.

Game two was much more even and, after being caught cold straight from the second-half kick-off, Keynsham replied through Callum Westbrook's first-ever goal.

It could have gone either way but Rangers pinched it at the death, despite the efforts of star man James Ellis.

Bitton rattled up two big Division A wins in the space of a few days. Five goals from Ollie Shopland and a Terrell Patterson effort handed them a 6-0 victory over Henbury, with Eli Britton and Rob Smyth playing their part in the goals.

The momentum was there for them to beat AEK Boco 5-1, with two more neat finishes from the in-form Shopland giving Bitton the kick-start they needed.

As Boco fought back, Bitton needed defenders Jaye Rudge and Liam Parry to break up some good attacks. Harry Prewett lashed home an unstoppable free-kick to put them 3-0 up before Boco hit straight back to reduce the first-game arrears to 3-1.

Bitton started game two brightly with Josh Garnett converting Rob Smyth's cross for the opener, and Smyth put his name on the scoresheet with the second to seal a 2-0 success.
