Hereford in search of first away win at Peterborough
Hereford will travel to Peterborough this afternoon in search of their first League One away win of the season.
The Bulls, who won a remarkable 15 games on the road last season on their way to promotion from League Two, have picked up only a single point from their seven away games so far.
And at the root of the problem is a lack of fire power which has seen them score just twice in their last nine league fixtures.
"There is obviously a concern that we are not scoring goals," said boss Graham Turner. "That is something we have to look at and try to address.
"But we take something from holding Millwall, currently the best side in the division, for most of the game on Tuesday.
"You always believe as a manager, and the players should believe the same, that the next game is the turning point.
"We have to have that belief – we are quite capable of going to Peterborough, getting a change of luck and then that will be the start of our season."
Turner is likely to reinstate on-loan Andy Williams and Sam Gwynne after the young duo were rested from the trip to Millwall
"The Peterborough match will be our fifth game in 15 days and that is a hard programme," he said.
"Sam Gwynne had not played an awful lot and neither had Andy Williams.
"I just saw signs last Saturday against Stockport that a little bit of fatigue was creeping in so I just sensed it was time to give then a breather."
There is a vacancy in the Bulls front line with Nick Chadwick incurring a one-match ban for his sending-off at Millwall.
But it may be that Turner will revert to the pairing of Williams and Steve Guinan, who was a late substitute on Tuesday, with Bradley Hudson-Odoi returning to the bench.
Gwynne is likely to replace either Simon Johnson or Clint Easton, who scored the Bulls' goal in a 1-1 draw on their last visit to London Road last season but has been struggling with a bruised leg following the Millwall match.
Turner is certainly not going to abandon his principles of playing a passing game despite a lack of confidence in the Bulls camp at present.
"Players feel under pressure," he admitted. "They don't want to be the one making a mistake, or misplacing a pass or getting caught in possession in their own half. But we have to continue playing football.
"That was what got us into League One and I still believe that is what will keep us in League One."
