Henbury 1 Kings Stanley 1 - Kings Stanley win 4-3 on penalties

Jairzinho Wright spoke of his frustration after seeing Henbury fall to a 4-3 penalty shoot-out defeat to Kings Stanley in Saturday's Gloucestershire County League Les James Cup final.

Having conceded an early goal in a whirlwind opening by Stanley, Henbury fought back to level 10 minutes from the interval through Arron Rosser's strike.

Despite their dominance after that they were unable to find a winner inside the 90 minutes, and with no extra-time played, Kings Stanley went on to clinch a narrow success in the shoot-out.

Wright, who has pledged to stay on as Henbury boss next term, admitted: "We were gutted to lose like that as we should have capitalised when we were well in command."
