A new support service has been launched for parents of pupils in Wotton-under-Edge, Berkeley and Nailsworth.

Parentline Plus covers 17 schools, giving parents access to help and information through more than 120 individual support sessions and parenting workshops.

Advice covers areas such as family conflict, teenagers and handling difficult emotions.

Jane Windle-Hartshorn, area manager for the scheme, said: "Being a parent can at times be very challenging. Hopefully this new service will provide extra support for parents. It is a great opportunity for parents to pick up valuable skills and information and also benefit from tailored support from our dedicated co-ordinators."

Parentline Plus is a national charity that works for and with parents to offer practical solutions and ideas for their particular situations and difficulties.
