A free course for people suffering long-term health conditions begins at the Withywood Centre on August 18.

The course looks at simple skills and techniques to help people manage their condition and get the best out of life.

Anyone with a long-term condition such as arthritis, diabetes, asthma or multiple sclerosis can attend the course.

A previous participant said: "I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I found it informative and meeting people made me feel human again.

"I have lost the feeling that I have no useful function to play in the world and have begun to think about the things I can do rather than the things I can't."

The course runs on Thursdays, 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

The trainers all have long-term conditions themselves.

To book a place ring Zena on 07831 601246.
