Paul Weeks believes the cream of his Almondsbury Town crop will commit themselves to another season with the club.

The Oaklands Park outfit saw their title hopes finally evaporate, with Hungerford Town regaining the initiative at the top after an alarming wobble and Almonds' failure to overcome Hook Norton in last Saturday's 2-2 draw.

Weeks nevertheless heaped praise on his players, who could still clinch a top-three position and have the league's SBJ Challenge Cup final against Carterton to look forward after Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Old Woodstock Town.

Weeks, whose team end their season at home to Reading Town tomorrow, said: "It's disappointing not to have won the league after another massive effort but how can I fault the lads' determination? We have the right characters and quality here and they all seem determined to give it another go next time. Without doubt, we have a squad capable of future success."

Winterborne United boss Stewart Jones insists attitudes will "have to change" for the better in the 2009-10 programme if they are to recapture last season's Division I title-winning form.

They head into their final game of a frustrating campaign at home to Trowbridge Town knowing the highest they can finish is seventh.

Jones, who plans to play teenagers Jack Watts, Ashley White and Jenson Mannings, admitted: "There needs to be a change in people's attitudes at the club. If the mentality doesn't change, personnel will."

Tytherington Rocks ended their season with a 2-0 home defeat by Wootton Bassett in midweek but still finished in an admirable mid-table position.
