Hellenic League round-up
Almondsbury Town had to settle for a goalless draw with Fairford Town after failing to take their chances.
Manager Paul Weeks said: "We created countless chances but failed to hit the target.
"Fairford keeper Roman Roncinsky made a series of brilliant saves."
He added: "In the second half we were denied a penalty when I believe a goalbound shot was handled on line by a Fairford defender.
"Unfortunately, all the teams above us won."
Town remain in seventh spot despite dropping two points.
Weeks added: "I couldn't have asked any more of the players as they dominated the game but just could not put away any of the chances they created."
In the closing minutes of the game, Town were caught out at the back and it needed a brilliant save from goalkeeper Ben Johns to deny Fairford a late winner.
Table-topping Hungerford Town went a goal down in the first half at struggling Milton United, but hit back with second-half goals from Richard Saunders and Mark McKeeping for a 2-1 victory to maintain their 11-point lead.
Second-placed Shortwood United, who have five games in hand, scored two goals through Matt Collins as they battled to overcome bottom side Harrow Hill 2-1.
Harrow's goal came from Eddy Weyman.
In Division One West, Winterbourne United maintained their winning run and gained revenge for a 2-1 defeat earlier in the season when they beat rivals Tytherington Rocks 2-0.
But manager Stewart Jones, who led the club to the title last season, believes the club can only claim third spot now.
He said: "We have started to show the form which I always knew we could produce.
"But, after a poor start to the season, all we can realistically aim for now is a third-spot finish.
"Our strikers, Sam Vile and leading scorer Jimmy Potts, were always a danger and the Tytherington defence struggled to cope with them."
The game could have been so different had Tytherington striker Steve Thompson not missed an early chance when he was clear of the defence with only the keeper to beat.
Winterbourne dominated the first half without making a breakthrough.
The opening goal came on the hour when Chris Gent created the opening for Vile to beat the last defender before scoring.
Just 10 minutes later, Winterbourne clinched victory when James Mainstone created the opening for Potts to score against his former club.
