Heart FM DJs back Bristol World Cup bid
As Bristol bids to create its own World Cup football memories, we want to know yours – and we've teamed up with Heart Radio's breakfast show presenters to get you started.
Bristol has until December to convince the England bid team it deserves inclusion as a host city in their bid to FIFA.

Members of the England 2018 team toured the city last week looking at the multitude of facilities on offer and will be back on September 10 after receiving a second, more detailed bid from the Bristol team.
While they deliberate on their findings and feed back information on what Bristol needs to do to bring international football to Bristol, Bush and Troy have been reliving their favourite moments from past World Cups.
The pair are behind Bristol's bid to help host the biggest tournament in the world and yesterday shared their memories with the Post as well as their reasons why the England bid team should pen in Bristol as one of their 12 host cities.
Bush advocated a free Wurzels CD and Ginsters pie for visiting fans before focusing on the carnival atmosphere the tournament would bring to Bristol.
"It would be great with all the colours of the World Cup. It is that whole festival of fun that fits in with Bristol being a global city," he said.
Troy travelled to Germany for the 2006 World Cup where he was bowled over by the reaction of the local communities and the visiting fans.
"It was unbelievable," he said. "Every nation had a stall with food from that country. And the people really embraced the event.
"A lot of cities don't even have one (football) team and we've got two. There's a healthy rivalry and such a football tradition here in Bristol so we deserve to be included."
PARIS TROY
1. Ronaldo no show, Brazil v France, World Cup 1998 in France
“There was all that fiasco and controversy about Ronaldo. It was the World Cup final and part of the fun of it is all the twists and turns of the run up.
I remember Des Lynam coming on with breaking news about Ronaldo. One moment he was playing, the next he wasn’t. Brazil’s star striker having a fit and unable to play in the biggest game in the world.”
2. John Aldridge’s outburst: Republic of Ireland v Mexico, World Cup 1994, USA
“I remember Aldridge having an argument with an official. He was trying to come on as a substitute but they weren’t letting him. (The Irish manager) Jack Charlton was all red faced and I could hear Aldridge swearing. He didn’t know the cameras were on him and millions of people heard it.”
3. Greek tragedy: World Cup 1994, USA
“I’m Greek-Cypriot so I remember the first time Greece made it into the World Cup in 1994. There was so much excitement and expectation. And we lost 4-0 to Argentina, 4-0 to Bulgaria, and 2-0 to Nigeria. Nightmare.”
ANDY BUSH
1. David Platt: England v Belgium, World Cup 1990 in Italy
“He fell in a heap on the ground after scoring a wonder goal and the look on his face when he picked himself up... I remember dancing around the lounge.
2. David Beckham: England v Greece, World Cup qualifying 2001
“Not strictly the World Cup proper but what a game, a moment. Beckham’s goal at the death to draw the game and give us automatic qualification. Unforgettable.”
3. Gary Lineker: England v Germany, World Cup 1990 in Italy
“Lineker’s equaliser in the semi-final against the Germans is often forgotten but it made me want to go and break my wrist to look like him.”
