Henleaze Junior School's successful rugby team enjoyed a visit from two of the leading figures in women's international rugby.

Wales winger Non Evans and former lock Liza Burgess – who won 87 caps for Wales and now coaches the national side – visited the school on behalf of the Wooden Spoon charity.

They gave an assembly, presented trophies to the combined Year 5 and 6 tag team and then took a coaching session.

The school's rugby team has been extremely successful this year, winning the Redland Green area tag championship, the St Bede's area championship and the county championship. They also won the shield at the south-west regional event.
