Bristol Pitbulls maintained their good form with an 11-3 win away to Romford Fury.

Sam Hayman netted six times as the Pitbulls gained a comfortable win, despite being without several senior players, including player-coach Richie Hargreaves, Mike Smith and Peter Korff.

The Fury fought hard for a long spell, but three late goals in the second period saw their challenge end, and they were overwhelmed by a dominant Pitbulls side in the third period.

In addition to Hayman's haul, there were also goals for Steve Osman (2), Paul Davies, Adrian Esposito and Tom Evans.

Hargreaves said: "It was a fantastic performance from the guys – or should I say kids?

"We were back to the bare bones this week, due to suspensions and injuries, but that didn't faze the guys one bit.

"They all worked their socks off and the score took care of itself. Sammy led the way with six, and just like the others, really stepped up when I needed them."

Four players were ejected with match penalties in an occasionally rough game. Danny Kruse and Robbie Veares departed for the Fury, along with the Pitbulls' Liam Williams and Tom Egerton.
