Volunteers and fundraisers launched Bristol's event at Piccolino's in Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus.

Money raised from Blooming Great Tea Parties will help Marie Curie nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal cancer and other terminal illnesses in their own homes. It costs £20 to fund one hour of care from a Marie Curie Cancer Care nurse to terminally ill patients within their own home.

Irene Vallis local supporter from Stockwood, said "I have been supporting the charity for many years; they took very good care of my late husband who had cancer. Holding a tea party is fun and rewarding, I invite my friends and family, we have a cuppa and some cake whilst raising funds for a charity very close to my heart."

The charity is encouraging people across the Bristol area to hold Blooming Great Tea Parties in June and July to support the work of Marie Curie Cancer Care within the local community.
