Avon Youth League: Luke Saward and his Bitton team-mates produced outstanding performances to crush Avon Athletic 11-0 in the Avon Youth League Under-12 Cup.

Saward led the goal bonanza with a hat-trick and he was joined on the scoresheet by Harry Sutton (2), Callum Wright, Christian Box, Danny Sheldon, Callum Ball (2) and Jak Griffiths.

Shirehampton Colts A always knew they had a tough tie ahead of them as they took on in-form Mangotsfield United, who play in the division above them.

Yet, despite going down 8-2, they battled well and refused to let their heads drop, with Gareth Hobdey making a series of superb saves and man-of-the-match Cameron Findlay outstanding in defence.

Jack Harvey, who scored with a scorching shot from outside the box, and Aaron Amos, who volleyed in Michael Bojski's cross from six yards, were the Shire marksmen.

Four Warmley Rangers goals in the opening 15 minutes of an exciting encounter were enough to see off the challenge of a resolute St Nicholas side in another Under-12 Cup clash.

Callum Carter scored twice and Ben Makepeace and Ravi Heer were also on target in a 4-1 win.

Warmley took their foot off the gas after that and fine play from Saints resulted in them scoring a consolation goal 10 minutes into the second half. And it took a man-of-the-match performance from keeper Joe Markovitch to keep St Nicholas at bay after that.

Ashton Boys also went through with a 5-2 victory over a valiant Bristol Rovers Juniors side.

Ashton opened the scoring on six minutes when Ryan Lee Williams ran through and gave the keeper no chance with a cross shot before man-of-the-match Sam Hynam made it 2-0 on 11 minutes with a well- struck effort from just outside the box.

Rovers battled well and pulled one back after a great cross from the right. Hynam, however, added another two goals to his tally in the second half to complete his hat-trick. An own goal by Rovers increased the advantage to 5-1 before the visitors pulled a goal back.

It was third time lucky for Bristol City Supporters as they beat AEK Boco, who had knocked them out of the cup on penalties in each of the last two seasons.

In wet and windy conditions, Boco went ahead through a Bradley Wheadon header. But two George Kellow goals either side of half-time put City in the ascendancy and they managed to withstand some late pressure from Boco to hold out for a 2-1 win.

Bitton ran riot in the second half of their Under-14 Cup tie with St Nicholas to roar to a 9-0 victory.

Saints battled hard throughout the first period and were pleased to reach half-time with the scoreline goalless.

However, they were unable to contain rampant Bitton in the second period. Harry Bradford struck four goals and was joined on the scoresheet by Luca Porcaro (3), Taylor Biggs and Jake Garnett. Liam Henderson made a good contribution from the back with excellent passing and penetrating runs, while Bitton keeper Spencer Dawes pulled off a great save in the first half to keep the game level.

Keynsham Town moved into the Under-14 Cup quarter finals with an 8-2 victory over Cadbury Heath. Lewis Sealy put Keynsham ahead in the second minute to ease any nerves before two Nathan Legge goals, the second a nonchalant 20-yard chip, made it 3-0.

A quick exchange of passes between Chris Courtney and Matt Curnock led to Harry Creber firing the fourth.

Cadbury Heath continued to some play neat football and they were rewarded when Liam Platts pulled a goal back. But Keynsham went straight back on the attack and goals from Mitch Greenslade and Legge, to complete his hat-trick, meant the visitors went into the break with a healthy 6-1 lead.

Greenslade added two more goals to complete his own triple before Mick Ward struck a late consolation for Heath.
