Harvey Nichols brings catwalk fashion to Bristol
Harvey Nichols staged its first catwalk fashion show in Bristol yesterday, and it was a sellout.
An audience of 150 watched the show on the first floor of the upmarket fashion store, where displays of designer outfits were moved aside to make space for a 30 foot long catwalk. Ten models displayed the latest autumn and winter fashions from designers including Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Gucci, Donna Karan, Alexander McQueen, and Dolce & Gabbana. Sue Stones, general manager of Harvey Nichols in Bristol, said: "This is the first catwalk fashion show we've staged in Bristol. We held some small, salon-style fashion trend presentations in the restaurant earlier this year, and they were a great success."
An Alexandra McQueen dress costing more than £1,000 had to be withdrawn from the show after it was bought by a customer earlier in the day.
