Hard work adds up to maths quiz triumph
TWO teams of mathematicians from the independent boys' school QEH made their knowledge count when they finished top of their groups in The Bristol Inter Schools Mathematics Competition.
The QEH Year 13 team won the cup in its age group, only dropping two marks overall. Certificates were awarded to Mike Beck, Josh Inoue, Luke Looney, Szelong Ng, Ed Parry and Matt Thomas.

The Year 12 team finished joint first, scoring full marks. Certificates were awarded to Josh Hodgson, Jack Loudon, Will Pearce, Declan Rouse, Chris Woodman and Sam Wong.
Head of maths Bill Ellis said: "Maths is a very popular subject with the boys and they achieve highly, not just in competitions, but with excellent results year on year."
