Harbourside project now in final phase
THE final phase of Crest Nicholson's massive Harbourside apartment building project has begun. The first 62 flats at Invicta were put on the market in July.
Once complete, in spring 2013, Invicta will comprise 170 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, plus a number of one-bedroom studios.
This building joins Waverley House, Balmoral House, The Crescent and Beacon House on the former derelict Canon's Marsh area, where Crest Nicholson began regeneration back in 2005.
The name for the latest and final building draws inspiration from Bristol's link to the city of Porto in Portugal, which was also known as Cidade Invicta, or The Unvanquished City. The two cities were twinned in 1984 with links going back more than 500 years through the port trade.

On Cathedral Walk, just off Anchor Road, the five-story Invicta building includes a walk way called Millennium Promenade linking Millennium Square to the Harbour Inlet and providing views across to the ss Great Britain.
Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson said: "The arrival of Invicta and the development of Millennium Promenade are also important pieces of the final jigsaw for Harbourside, which has transformed the area formerly known as Canon's Marsh into a place where people can live, work and enjoy their leisure time."
A few minutes walk from vibrant shopping and nightlife area of Park Street and the city centre, Harbourside is also well-placed for those who need to get to Temple Meads station, or the legal and financial district near Bristol Bridge since a water ferry can be picked up right outside the development. which has a designated stop outside the development.
