Hanham Minor League

Hallen Under-10s collected their first win of the season in style with a 10-0 aggregate victory over AEK Boco in the Hanham Minor League Cup.

Playing at their new ground for the first time, Hallen quickly took control of the first game, running out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Corey Cotterill, Adam Healey and Abraham Fullbrook.

Cameron Dyte, who might have scored with an early long-range shot, man-of-the-match Tom Wookey and Edward Wilson, all made positive contributions to the victory.

Captain Dan Wass was a rock at the back and, when Boco did get through, goalkeeper Callum Baber was on hand to make some excellent saves. The Boco keeper also played well, denying Hallen further joy with some outstanding stops.

Hallen began the second game brightly and Callum Berry's perfect pass set up Noah Aikens to fire them in front.

Six more goals followed after the interval with Berry bagging a brace, skipper Jacob Dumble hitting a double and Salar Rahbari Namin and Harvey Corp, after Brandon Dixon had won the ball with a great tackle, also on target.

The ever-reliable Darrel Smith was rarely tested but did his job between the sticks well when needed.

Stoke Lane produced a sizzling performance to comprehensively overwhelm Saltford Stars 15-1 on aggregate in another first-round tie.

Lane built a commanding 9-1 lead in the first game, despite excellent saves from both the Saltford keepers deployed.

Aiden Blackwell led the scoring with a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by George Bryan (2), Max Butcher (2), Mitchell Bombroff and Caleb Jassal.

Jack Griffin was in unstoppable form in the second game, helping himself to a hat-trick in a 6-0 win, which saw Joe Cook (2) and Liam Cross also on the mark.

Nathan Wilkes scored his first hat-trick of the season as Warmley Rangers reached the last 16 with a convincing 12-0 win over a spirited St Nicholas B team.

Warmley – and Wilkes in particular – dominated the first game, forcing the Saints keeper into making no fewer than 22 saves as he faced up bravely to the creativity of George Wilshire, Callum Birkinshaw and Mason Lewis in a 3-0 defeat for his side.

Rangers substitute Henry Sharman was unlucky not to score on a number of occasions, while at the other end Matt Emery and Freddie Flook had little to do in front of keeper Chris Archer.

Game two was even more one-sided as Warmley roared to a 9-0 victory thanks to goals from Warren Forrest (3), Jack Baker (2), Jacob Trowbridge (2), Cory Goodhind and Louis Lacy. And the margin of victory could have been greater as Connor Blyth-Robbins hit the upright and Forrest shot just over.

Yate United also went through with with a 5-1 aggregate win over Longwell Green.

It wasn't all plain sailing, however, as Yate fell behind to a second-half strike from the visitors in a closely-fought first match.

An unfortunate own goal gifted Yate an equaliser before Dan Dempsey fastened on to Alfie Waller's excellent corner to give Yate a 2-1 win.

Yate attacked from the start in game two and Oakley Smith got on the end of a quick goal-kick from Matty Robins to drill them into an early lead.

Smith made it 2-0 before completing his hat-trick by finishing off a super long throw from Kai Richards.

Nicholas Wanderers turned in a fabulous team performance to beat Keynsham Town 14-0 on aggregate in the Under-11 Cup.

Rock-solid defending from Sean Marvin, Terry Wise and Jack Josham, backed up by the midfield quartet of James Morton, Joe Hanhauser, Callum Fudgell – who were all on the scoresheet – and Sami Karahan, provided the platform for a 5-0 first-match victory.

Keynsham kept battling but Wanderers' expertise in a higher division told as Kwyn Gilbert netted four times and Jack Staples (2), Jordan Connolley, Jared Ford and Sam Delve all hit the target in a 9-0 second-game success.

There were also good contributions from Jordan Gilbert and Joshua Greenbury.

Bristol United produced two fine performances to knock out Ashton Boys.

Abdi Malik Aweys led the way with four goals in a 10-2 first-game win. James Williams and Marcel Spaulding both scored twice, while Brandon and Jordan Kearns, with his first goal for the club, were also on target.

Jack Georgewill hit a hat-trick in the second encounter as United scored eight more times without reply to record an 18-2 overall victory.

Connor Appleby and George McIntyre turned in star man displays for United in the two games.
