Hanham race to second victory
HANHAM Athletic Reserves collected their second Bristol & District Senior Division win of the season, beating Crosscourt United 3-0.
Karl Parker, Ryan Worgan and Ryan Werret shared the goals in the only top-flight fixture of the weekend.
Longwell Green Sports A hammered Shaftesbury Crusade Reserves 6-1 away from home in Division I, while Sea Mills Park and Bendix drew 1-1. Chris Mazir netted for Park but Joel Hartley ensured a point for Bendix with a neat finish.
The only fixture in Division II ended in a 1-1 draw between Patchway A and DRG Stapleton Reserves, while Olveston United Reserves won the solitary Division III game played, beating Frampton Reserves 3-0 thanks to goals from Ben Neary, Matt Healy and Andy Morse.
Goalkeeper Dave Millard scored with an astonishing 35-yard free-kick as Talbot Knowle Reserves demolished Longwell Green Sports B 8-3 in Division IV. Jack Luton hit a hat-trick, while Frank Gingell and veteran Mike Pullin each netted twice.
Oldland Abbotonians A pipped St Nicholas thanks to strikes from Dan Smith, 35-year-old Richard Johnson and Dean Winstone.
Terry Moore earned Shireway Sports a 1-0 win over St Phillips MAS Reserves, while Trevor Harris, Sam Chilcott and Ashley Harrington clinched a 3-0 win for Bradley Stoke Town against Fry's Club B.
Strikes from Mark Green, Brad Robbins, Adam Dudridge and Tony Marshfield gave Bendix Reserves a 4-2 win over Brimsham Green Reserves in Division V.
Henbury A remained joint top of the table with a 2-1 win over AEK Boco A. Darryl Barnes and Terry Pruett were the scorers for Henbury, with Andy Passco replying for Boco.
Inter the Bloomfield also stayed up with the pacesetters thanks to a 4-1 win over Langton Court, while Greyfriars Athletic and Soundwell Victoria drew 1-1 draw, Oliver Coles scoring for Athletic and Rino Costa for Victoria.
Little Thatch came from 2-0 down against Roman Glass St George B to win 3-2 in Division VI.
Nick Tucker and Craig Hodge netted to pull Thatch level before Robert Driver sealed the turnaround by bagging the winner.
Southmead Community Sport ran riot against South Bristol Central, winning 12-0, while St George Rangers were also in prolific form in front of goal, crushing Hambrook Reserves 10-1.
Mark Fey bagged four of their goals, with Dave Langridge (2), Craig Edmunds (2), Rob Cotter and Dan England completing the rout. James Lunn hit the Hambrook consolation.
Two Tom Bostock goals were not enough for AXA B, who were held 2-2 away to Rangeworthy Reserves.
Two strikes from Tony Bishop and goals from Richard Ollis and Mark Rimmer gave Brislington Cricketers Reserves a 4-1 win over Crosscourt United Reserves, while Bradley Stoke Town Reserves beat basement club Seymour United A by the same margin.
That defeat leaves Seymour still looking for their first win of the season.
