Hanham boss welcomes four new signings
Hanham Athletic hope their crop of new arrivals can haul them clear of the relegation trapdoor.
Hot on the heels of Paul Milsom's arrival from Mangotsfield United, right-sided midfielder Shaun Morris has returned after suffering a frustrating spell himself with 'Field, while tenacious midfielder James Zabek, another one-time Cossham Street starlet, and ex-Totterdown defender Will Cawte are also aboard.
Hanham manager Paul Hill-Dear, who takes his team to mid-table Berkeley Town tomorrow, enthused: "Paul Milsom's experience goes without saying and James has done the rounds at a higher level. Having all four of them here is a great boost."
B& W Avonside manager Carmelo Micciche has demanding better from his players at home to Chipping Sodbury Town after a 5-3 home humbling by Yate Reserves last Saturday. He said: "We've come a long way as a club but we looked as though we were stuck in the Suburban League."
Sodbury are on the brink of recruiting John Gull from Toolstation League outfit Almondsbury and fellow forward Danny Cook is back after injury to bolster their attack, but captain and midfielder Mike England has become the latest Sodbury player to exit for Tytherington Rocks.
Henbury manager Jairzinho Wright says the capture of attacking midfielder Aaron Wilson has lifted his team in their chase for honours. Wilson scored on his debut in Saturday's 6-1 thrashing of Axa and Wright, whose team entertain Taverners tomorrow, acknowledged: "He hadn't played for eight months so it was a great start."
Thornbury Town have re-signed former strike ace Andy Brookbanks ahead of tomorrow's home encounter with Axa, while midfielder Chris Mountain's return from a prolonged injury lay-off has further enhanced Town manager Dave Lippiatt's cause.
DRG Stapleton entertain Slimbridge in a crucial bottom versus top encounter, while youth-team prodigy Nuno Felix wins another call-up in attack for fifth-placed Yate Reserves at home to Bishop's Cleeve following his hat-trick at Avonside. Ross Watson and Gary Powell return to the Yate squad.
Patchway Town head for Tuffley Rovers eager to complete the double over the mid-table Gloucester outfit.
