Hambrook's Licata is top after victory
Hambrook's Giuseppe Licata moved to the top of the Gloucester and Somerset PGA order of merit after claiming victory at Shirehampton.
He was the only player to match the par of 67, on a day of sunshine and showers, despite a quadruple bogey eight when he hit two tee-shots out of bounds on the fifth hole.
He opened with a birdie three and eventually repaired the damage with birdies at the 8th, 10th, 12th and 15th holes, making only one more bogey.
This brought a one-shot success over his Hambrook colleague Trevor Jones, and Filton's Daryl Kelley.
Jones, who lost the order of merit lead, dropped shots at the tough third hole after a wayward drive, as well as the 11th and 16th. He picked up shots at the 10th and 12th holes.
Kelley's round was a mixed bag to match the weather. He started with a triple bogey seven, but then reeled off four successive birdies from the fourth. He dropped three shots in his last seven holes for a 68, although he collected the birdie sweep money for his haul of six.
David Haines (Brean) and Mark Sanders (Knowle) shared fourth place with rounds of 69
