Bristol grass racers Rod Melksham, Barry Woodruffe and John Weeks are contesting the solo races in the Bridgwater club's meeting at Spaxton on Sunday.

They are part of an all-star line-up that also features Tim and Anthony Curnock, Brian Leach, Scott Creswell and Ben Masters.

Close racing is expected in the sidecar races at the Crossmoor Farm venue between Richard Thomas, Ivor Mathews, Phil Sims, Jamie Brea and Clive Stoneman and partners.

Bristol's John May will be intent on increasing his lead in the Remedies Bar Motocross Championship in the eighth of the 15-round contest at the Wrangway Cross circuit near Wellington, in Somerset, the same day.

His main rivals look like being George Davis, Andrew Gillett, Luke Blanchard and Wayne Shimmell in the Broadhembury club's meeting.

Leading lights in the 125/250 class are Darren Shears, Nick Wadge, Ross Flashman and Brad Cavill.

British Championship contenders Tom Church, Jason Dougan, Ray Rowson, Elliott Banks-Browne and Alex Snow are among a top-class entry chasing £2,000 of prize money in the National Patchquick Trophy motocross at Whiteway Barton, near Newton Abbot, on Wednesday evening.
