BRISTOL & DISTRICT LEAGUE: Hallen A manager Ike Greening celebrated his 50th birthday by guiding his team to a 4-1 Senior Division home victory against promoted Miners Rangers.

Scott Chancellor put Hallen in front early on and completed his double in the second half, following an equaliser from Simon Witheridge. James McKay also struck twice after the break to end Rangers' hopes of a comeback.

Nicholas Wanderers Reserves lost 2-0 at home to second-half strikes from Jasper Taylor and Matty Davis for Wick Reserves.

Last season's Division I champions Old Sodbury won 5-3 away to Crosscourt, for whom Jack Gardiner, Rob Lucas and Ryan Earrey (penalty) replied to goals from Ricky Hemmings (2), newcomer Brad Lennard (2) and Michael Oakes.

Steve Lyne's penalty saved St Pancras in a 1-1 home draw, with Coalpit Heath, who led through Matty Cole, while former Evening Post Star Man Shane Parker grabbed the only goal in the first half for AXA Reserves at Roman Glass St George A.

Neil Jones marked his appointment as manager of Shirehampton Reserves with a 4-2 home win against Hanham Reserves, thanks to Dan Griffiths (2), Aaron Still and Richard Kerr.

In Division I, Longwell Green Sports A had an impressive 6-1 win away at Bitton A, while an Adam Young hat-trick gave Pucklechurch Sports Reserves the points at home to Talbot Knowle Reserves.

Jo Spearey hit a hat-trick for Seymour Reserves, who shared eight goals with Sea Mills Park.

Tom Bewley was the hero for AEK Boco Reserves scoring six times in the home side's 10-1 Division II demolition of Shaftesbury Crusaders Reserves.

In Division III, Gary Bennett cracked a hat-trick as Mendip United Reserves saw off Shirehampton A 7-1, while Brad Clark netted twice for Bradley Stoke Town, 5-1 winners at Oakland.

Midfielder, Steve Bignell, at 38, was the only player over the age of 18 in the Oldland Abbotonians A side who won 6-0 in Division IV at Frampton Reserves with goals by Pierre Carotta, Mitch Moreton, Dan Newport, Ben Daniels, Ben Shaw and Grant Shail.

Forty-seven year old Adge Skinner hit the winner in Wick A's 2-1 victory at Bradley Stoke Town A in Division V.

Brimsham Green Reserves were the division's biggest winners, slamming St Nicholas 9-0.

Sam Elvins headed St Pancras Reserves in front in Division VI against Rangeworthy Reserves, who bounced back to win 3-1 thanks to Roy Simpson's equaliser and headers by defender Mike Jones and evergreen Mark Dunn.
