HMS Flying Fox reservist in epic charity running challenge
A Bristol-based Royal Navy reservist has set himself a target of running a series of ultra long distance races for charity.
Henry Watts, 31, a lieutenant at Bristol’s HMS Flying Fox, will run 400 miles over the next 18 months.
His racing program features three 100-mile runs on the White Cliffs of Dover route, the South Downs Challenge in Hampshire and the North Downs near Farnham.
These epic runs will then allow him entry into the Mont Blanc 100 miles that will include 10,000 metres of ascent in over 40 hours.
