Gurney earns new contract at Weston-super-Mare
Weston-super-Mare manager Andy Gurney has been handed a new two-year contract by the Blue Square South side.
The 35-year-old player-boss, who can count Reading, Swansea City, Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town amongst his former clubs, has transformed the fortunes of the Seagulls since taking over from Tony Ricketts on December 1.
Weston chairman Paul Bliss said: "Andy has done a great job and is building something for the future.
"I believe that he is the man to take us on to brighter and better things and it is clear that he has the respect of the players and they want to play for him."
