HUNDREDS of people will be pulling on their running shoes this month for Weston-super-Mare's annual Tough Ten Race for the RNLI.

The event is on February 19 and around 1,500 competitors are expected to take part. Runners will set off at 11am from the seafront on a gruelling ten-mile, multi-terrain route which will take them through Weston Woods and along the Kewstoke Toll Road.

The Toll Road will be closed from 10.45am- 1.15pm for the race and diversions will be put in place.

The recommended route during the closure is using Bristol Road Lower, Upper Bristol Road, Spring Hill, Church Road, Kewstoke Road and vice-versa.

Bus companies are advising passengers of changes to services affected.
