Groves steals it for Yate
MATT Groves headed an injury-time winner as Yate pulled off their most impressive triumph so far this campaign in Division One South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League.
The win was one of a trio of surprise results at the top of the table, with leaders Hungerford and third-placed club Swindon Supermarine also going down to surprise defeats.
Yate first signalled their intentions on 13 minutes when defender Tom Seery met a Groves corner to give the visitors the lead.
Poole responded as expected, though, with Luke Burbidge equalising after 22 minutes and Warren Byerley giving them the lead just two minutes later.

However, the visitors drew level on the half-hour mark when Scott Wilson set up fellow forward Mitchell Page.
The hosts had the better of the second half, but Yate goalkeeper Josh Dempsey made a number of fine saves and Tom Warren cleared another effort off the line.
With time almost up, the visitors snatched victory with Wilson again the provider, crossing for Groves to head the winner.
Yate will look to continue their resurgence when Cirencester Town visit Lodge Road tomorrow night (7.45pm).
