CENTRAL Bristol was grid-locked again last night after a crash near Cabot Circus between a lorry and a car.

The elderly driver of the car had to be cut out of his vehicle but was not thought to be seriously injured in the collision at about 3.50pm.

Several lanes of Bond Street South had to be closed by police while the incident was dealt with, causing tailbacks on many of the city’s commuter routes.

The driver of the Daf lorry was uninjured.
