Gregory comeback keeps the Somerset dream alive
JUNIOR captain David Gregory made a superb comeback in the final match against Wiltshire at Weston-super-Mare to keep Somerset's Channel League hopes alive.
It was looking grim for Somerset, who trailed 7.5-6.5 with just one contest still to be decided, as the Burnham and Berrow youngster slipped two holes behind with three to play against Chris Brown.

Won final three: David Gregory
But Gregory won the final three holes against the Australian scratch player, a member at Cumberwell Park who was making his debut, and the match was halved.
He chipped in for a birdie to win the par three 16th, took the next with a par and, after Brown had missed the fairway, made another solid par to win on the last green.
Once again Farrington's Craig Adams played a major role and was the only Somerset man to win twice. Wiltshire won the first three foursomes before Phil White (Wells) and Justin Lane (Burnham) gave Somerset some hope and Adams linked up with Matt Lea (Saltford) for the second success.
Craig Cook (Enmore Park) and Max Brittan (Saltford) also won in the afternoon.
England squad man Miles Mackman (Broome Manor), Sam Elkins (Salisbury and South Wilts) and England Under-21 player Sam Matton (Bowood) each won twice for Wiltshire.
Both sides have won two and halved one of their four matches. Devon remain firm favourites after winning three times in succession, including their opening match against Gloucestershire.
But Gloucestershire still fancy their chances and the crunch match takes place against Somerset at Chipping Sodbury on Sunday.
Gloucestershire team: Ollie Glaze, Chris Lloyd (Kendleshire), Andy Hale, David Wood (Chipping Sodbury), David Lake (Knowle), Ross Langdon (Gloucester), Nick Scholey, Nick Day (Henbury), Nigel Thompson (Brickhampton Court).
